Abstract
Background: Organizations are never impartial and are always motivated by
socioeconomic considerations. Workplace harassment is likely to occur. Bullying hurts
both the person and the group. Bullying at work is repeated, harsh, and traumatic abuse.
These things could hurt the health of the professional. bullying in healthcare settings is
widespread, and several factors contribute to professionals who are victims of bullying not
reporting it.
Objective: Given the lack of research regarding underreporting of bullying in the healthcare
sector, this study aims to identify the factors that prevent healthcare professionals from
reporting bullying in the workplace in Ireland and Brazil. The paper informs readers about
the prevalence of under-reporting of bullying in the healthcare environment and the barriers
to reporting it
Methodology: Methods:A cross-sectional study with 19 questions and a 5-point Likert
scale was made and put online so it would be easier to look at the data. Data were given
based on the interpretivism of 52 care worker in hospital and home in Brazil and 52 care
workers in nursing home and home care inIrealnd.
Conclusion:This systematic study provides reasonably solid evidence that workplace
bullying is prevalent among doctors, nurses, staff, and patients, as well as the potential
causes, harms, and factors contributing to underreporting bullying. This is especially useful
given the limited knowledge we have about workplace bullying among healthcare
professionals
